Cook until center is set?
What does that mean? I'm making a batch of cookies and I 'm supposed to cook them until the center is set.
Well, the outside will get done really quickly, but the middle will still be gooey. So the idea is that when the center doesn't jiggle (or when you insert a toothpick it won't come out with stuff on it) then the cookies should be done.
A better rule of thumb is: Cook until golden brown. Also, keep in mind that if you pull your cookies out a little bit early, if you leave them on the pan, they will continue to cook for a few minutes. If you pull them out too late, get them off as quick as possible!
